Mit 22 Jahren war Syd Barrett ein kranker Mensch. Er hat leider sehr früh angefangen Drogen zu nehmen. Seine schlechte Zeit hat in seiner Wohngemeinschaft angefangen. Er hat mehrmals in der Woche LSD genommen. Das war nicht gut für sein Gehirn. Drogensucht ist eine geistige Erkrankung. Urlaub in Spanien mit Pink Floyd. Syd wollte die Wände hochklettern. - Er wollte seine Gitarre 🎸 auf dem Kopf seiner Schwester Rosemary schlagen. - Er hat seine Freundin im Schlafzimmer eingesperrt. - Er hat sich Lippenstift 💄 aufgetragen und Frauenschuh angezogen. - Er wollte eine Sekte gründen. Er lebte nicht im hier und jetzt. - Er war geistig abwesend. - Er konnte nicht mehr den richtigen Tonleiter spielen. Syd Barrett ist als Maler und Musiker gescheitert !!! Er hat gelegentlich gemalt und danach die Bilder zu Hause am Baum angesteckt. Syd Barrett war ein kranker Mensch. Sein Gehirn hatte einen irreparabelen Schaden genommen !! Leider hatte er nicht die Hilfe bekommen die er gebraucht hätte. Die Psychiatrie war damals noch nicht soweit. Er war in einer Psychiatrie für verlorene Seelen. Leider abgebrochen. Nur noch an Therapiestunden teilgenommen. Drogensucht versauen Dein Leben. Er war ein talentierter begabter junger Mann. 🎞️🎥 Man sollte sein ganzes Leben verfilmen.

The healthy Syd Barett was creative. Unfortunately he had the wrong friends. Pink Floyd and Syd were a good match. The Piper... was a good record. His sister Rosmarie once said: His bad times started with Pink Floyd... I think his bad times started with the shared flat that Syd lived in... He hangs out with junkies too much... His two solo records should have been recorded with Pink Floyd, they would have been better musically... Drugs ruin your life. I'm interested in how Syd lived with his illness... Did he ever have therapy???

Syd Barett was a talented, gifted young man. Unfortunately, he had the wrong friends and hung out with junkies. Nick.M said: We ignored the problem. A sad story for the whole family. This goes from sounding like a bad cover of Crosstown Traffic to at the end I thought it was Fugazi when I randomly turned it back on a couple hours later. Syd oh Syd .

Well we are all entitled to our opinions. But this is shite. Thankfully syd got replaced by gilmour and floyd evolved.

The worst musician on these recordings is Syd…..when he is coherent and sings you could understand why his compositions were good being played by the very talented musicians in Pink Floyd.

Imagine listening to the Beatles or Jimi Hendrix and you can make out the background, but every time you listen to final take of clowns and jugglers and you’re floored other than being able to identify instruments as if it’s the perfect line between busy and atmospheric
